Currently, SAP2000 is the most widely used software by structual engineers for linear analysis of structures. It provides the capability of observing interactions between Axial force and Bendingmoment within the analysis. In addition to these two parameters, Shear force is anotherimportant measurement in the structural analysis which is not provided in SAP2000. One of the researches done by the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya, found a novel formulation to observe the behavior of Shear force in structures. The purpose of the project is to build a SAP2000 like software from scratch which facilitates the above-mentioned feature.
